Ever tried doing yoga in the beautiful mountains of Nagano’s Shinshu region? Breathing in fresh mountain air, drinking one of the cleanest natural waters in the world – a retreat for the body, mind, heart and belly.
We’ll show you the top hidden spot to take the best photos of gorgeous foliage in different colours. Most meals will be vegetarian and will include local fresh vegetables and fruits. If you prefer to have some meat, please let us know in advance.

Yoga Retreat in Nozawa Onsen
Morning
Begin each day with deep breathing of the pristine air in the Japanese mountains and a seamlessly transition into Hatha yoga.
Take a short break before breakfast – a light meal featuring local fruits vegetables of the season.
Afternoon
After breakfast, proceed with a gentle hike to the lake, all at your own pace, using all of your senses to be aware of your surroundings.
Lunch will be a picnic in the Beech forest.
After lunch will be water activities.
Night
Guiding you into the night with Yin yoga at sunset at renowned sunset photo spot.
A special dinner will be prepared.
A picturesque log cabin backed by forest, looking over meadows. The perfect setting for one or two families or groups to launch their mountain adventures. We recommend a group of 6 for maximum comfort.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness.
We reserve the right to cancel the event in case of lack of participants as well. Required number of participants is 5.
If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centers and hotels. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
IF YOU CANCEL,
31 days or more prior, no charges will be incurred.
8 to 30 days, 50% charge will be incurred.
7 days or less, 100% charge will be incurred. If you’ve made full payment, there will be no refund.
To cancel, you must send an email stating that you wish to cancel.
IF WE CANCEL,
We recommend holding back on flight booking.
We will confirm if we have sufficient participants for the retreat.
If you have made payment, we will refund all payments made to us.
We cannot however compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. In the unlikely event that the yoga retreat is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster or political upheaval, we cannot guarantee a refund.
Hiromi MATSUMURA
Born in Nozawa Onsen, Hiromi has travelled widely and practiced yoga for the past 13 years. In 2015, she was internationally certified as a yoga instructor.
It is her goal to share and organize a magical retreat for you in Nozawa Onsen in all the different faces and colours of the seasons.
